Happy Friday Everyone!

It's the end of another exhausting week in school. It seems such a long time ago since last Friday!

This week I phoned the local gym and I asked if they could teach me how to do the splits. He said, "How flexible are you?" I said, "I can't make Tuesdays!"

Other sporting achievements (!) this week have included a number of Y3 and Y4 children and their exploits in the Quad Athletics. They did so well. Many of them won their individual races. Special well done for Sophie who won her first medal ever......... she's over the moon.

Y3 are practicing hard Maypole dancing ready for a Summer performance for our parents. I've seen some of it and it looks great so far. I'm really looking forward to the finished result. I remember Maypole dancing when I was very little but that was such a long time ago!

This was me back then!!

In other news, we have extended Family Belly Dancing to include some children who cannot be accompanied. They just need to take a letter home about it. Family Belly Dancing is proving to be really popular and growing each week.

Our Family Art 'n' Craft is proving popular as well. This week has seen families decorating jars and papier-mache balloons. They look so good.

This week, we rescued a baby Magpie. We named him Oswald and sent him off to a refuge (Donna M's) to recuperate before trying to link him up with his mum. Speaking of babies..... we had a visit from baby Flavell with her mum Mrs Flavell. Marcie appears to be a delightful baby but we look forward to Mrs Flavell's return to work!

Earlier in the week, the governors and I worked together evaluating strengths and weaknesses across the school. I'm really proud of the progress many children have made this year. I've also spent a lot of time working with Mrs Morgan developing our English curriculum for next year. I'm really excited and looking forward to the learning opportunities next year.

Next week will prove to be another busy week. I know that teachers have started to write their end of year reports! We have another group of children taking part in Quad Athletics, the Dogs Trust are visiting on Monday, F2 have their Poetry Assembly on Thursday and some Y6 are involved with transition with Farnborough. Phew!

Have a great weekend everyone, don't be late on Monday.
