December 2nd 2016

Happy Friday Everyone!

It’s the start of Advent and the start of all things Christmassy!

Yesterday we kicked things off with a lovely rendition of a Christmas Carol by Y4. The Cratchit family had the biggest chicken I’ve ever seen-they weren’t starving!

Today the Choir begin their big Christmas Tour! They are singing at the Christmas Market today then moving onto the Albert Hall on Monday and finishing at Larkhill on 14th December. I have to admit, hearing our children sing is one of the loveliest things.

Some of the Y3s and Y4s are visiting Trinity Church next week for a Christmas Experience, where they will be taking part in workshops and learning more about the Christmas story.

Christmas Jumper Day is Thursday 15th December which is the same day as Christmas Dinner AND school’s Christmas Fayre!!!

Key Stage 1 (Y1 and Y2) will be holding their Christingle Service in the big hall on Wednesday 14th December and KS2 (Y3,4,5,6) will be holding theirs at Trinity Church on Monday 19th December.

There is so much Christmas stuff happening this December. I need to lie down with a large mince pie!

We hope you’ve found ‘MyMaths’ really helpful for your children at home. If they are having difficulty accessing the internet, we provide some time at school to use our machines. Feedback from children so far is great.

Have a good weekend everyone. See you on Monday.

Mr C.
