It's Christmasssss!

Hi Everyone,
Next week is the final full week of school before we finish for Christmas on Tuesday 20th December.

Our advent celebrations began last week with some of the Y4 children performing a short rendition of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and this week we watched some of the Y2 children perform a short version of ‘The Christmas Story’. This week has also seen some Y3 and Y4 children attend Christmas Workshops at Trinity Church in Clifton. We are now into Christmas full-swing!

Over the next 6 school days, there are a number of other dates for you to remember:

Wednesday 14th Dec: 11:00 a.m. Choir singing at Larkhill.

Wednesday 14th Dec:  2:30 p.m. KS1 (Y1 and Y2) Christingle Service in the main hall (Parents welcome).

Thursday 15th Dec: Christmas Jumper Day for £1, Christmas dinner and the Christmas Fayre from 3:30pm in the main hall.

Thursday 15th Dec: 9:30 a.m. Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception/F2) NATIVITY performance in the main hall (parents welcome).

Monday 19th Dec: 2:00 p.m. KS2 (Y3,4,5,6) Christingle Service at Trinity Church, Southfield Drive (Parents welcome).

Father Christmas is visiting the school during the Christmas Fayre. We expect lots of children will want to see him. To avoid lots of waiting around, we have allocated time slots for groups of children. He is arriving early to see those older children with tickets during the afternoon but will see younger children with tickets during the Fayre itself.  One of Father Christmas’ elves will call groups of children in to see him at various times. These groups will be shown to a waiting room and Father Christmas will see you as soon as possible.

2:00-3:00pm Y3,4,5,6

3:00-3:30pm Nursery and F2

3:30-3:50pm Y1 Miss Smith

3:50-4:10pm Y1/2 Mr Lovell

4:10-4:30pm Y2 Miss Read

We ask that parents of children in the Nursery and F2 come and collect their children early at 3pm from the class and bring them to the Fayre if they wish.

We hope you can join us at any of these events.

Have a good weekend,

Mr C.
