Happy Friday Everyone,
What a windy week it’s been! We managed to cope with Doris without any damage, although there’s a large tree branch in my garden which has brought down part of a fence!
Congratulations to The RAINBOWs Team at the Family Quiz night. They are now our current champions. Next week is Bingo night.
This week has been busy. I held pupil progress meetings with each teacher to discuss and evaluate the progress of all the pupils and make some new plans where necessary. I’m really proud that the children are working so hard and trying their best.
It’s another busy busy week next week. Pancake day is on Tuesday when we shall have the Pancake Challenge: The Great Pancake Cook-Off, which I have won for the last few years. I expect to be named as champion yet again!! The children will be taking part in pancake races during the afternoon.
Thursday is World Book Day. Children may come to school dressed as their favourite character. We have a range of activities during the day and a book themed lunch based on ‘How to Eat Fried Worms’, ‘Green Eggs and Ham’, ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and ‘Dragons love Tacos’. So lunch will be very interesting!!
On Friday we have a group of special visitors. They are former pupils from the early 1960s just after the school was opened. They are spending most of the day with us meeting the children, looking round and having lunch. We are looking forward to welcoming them.
We’ll all be exhausted by the end of Friday.
We have a really positive group of parents taking part in our English course. We wish them luck. More and more parents are taking advantage of the Stay and Read sessions in F2 and Stay and Play sessions in F1.
Have a good weekend everyone. Unfortunately, on Monday I will be officially one year older (34)! Special happy birthday for tomorrow to my birthday Twin, Brayden.
