Happy Happy Friday Everyone.

Phew! What a start to the new term it’s been!

We have such a short run-in before SATs starts this year and we’ve had to manage without Miss Smith who has broken her ankle while walking!! I suppose walking is really hard for some people! We expect her back in a week or so with a pot on her leg.

We are delighted to welcome Mr Barnham to Highbank. Mr Barnham is an outstanding teacher and experienced school leader. We are delighted that he has chosen to join us. He will be an asset to team Highbank.

Unfortunately, I’ve had some devastating news over the last week; my beautiful car needs a new engine. The car and I have been growing old gracefully together for a number of years now. It’s never let me down and given me many happy years of comfort and class! I’ve had to think long and hard about repairing it or scrapping it. My heart says repair but my head says scrap, so I thought about it as if it were a child………….. so I’ve decided to scrap it!

Our Boccia kids won their tournament today, beating Glapton, Whitegate and Dovecote!! (YESSSSSSS!) Well done everyone, great result.

We have been putting the finishing touches to SPORTS WEEK which will be in June this year. We’ll give you more details nearer the time but it looks like it’s going to be a great week again. This term we shall be holding a Summer Fayre during one afternoon in July. We hope that the Y4s will present their Country Dancing at this event also.

Have a great long weekend everyone. See you on Tuesday, don’t be late!

Mr. C
