It’s nearly here………SPORTS WEEK !!!

Next week is Sports Week at Highbank. There will be lots to take part in each day so children will need to come in their PE kit.

BUT, don’t forget that Monday is Dress-Up Day; come dressed as your sports hero. I bet you won’t be able to guess who I’ll be! (Don’t forget to bring your £1.)

The big day is on Wednesday! Sports Day is scheduled for Wednesday 21st June 2017. Parents are welcome to attend this.

Upper school (Year 3, 4, 5 & 6) will take place in the morning starting at 9.15am.
Lower school (F2, Year 1 and Year 2) will take place in the afternoon starting at 1.30pm.

There will no picnic lunch this year during sports day because we have planned this on the same day as our summer fayre.

All classes within each key stage will be competing throughout the day unless extreme weather means we have to alter. We will let you know nearer the time if that’s the case.

Class and Group Photographs will be taken on Thursday 22nd June. It’s the soonest we could book them in after postponing it during our inspection. This means that children will need to come to school in their uniform for the photos and change into their PE kit afterwards. Please make sure your child brings their P.E. kit in with them.

You should have received a leaflet explaining what’s happening on which day but briefly the week pans out as follows:

Monday: Dress-Up Day: Sports Hero

Tuesday: Potted Sorts

Wednesday: Sports Day and Pro-Kick Soccer

Thursday: Zumba and Class Photos

Friday: Globetrotter Day

There will be no Friday assembly next week but we shall hold a short assembly to round off sports week at 2:45pm next Friday. We are really looking forward everything next week and the weather looks as though it’s going to be great.

Have a good weekend preparing!

Mr. C.
